Preparation
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lbs Laura’s Lean Beef® 92% lean ground beef
- 3 Romaine hearts, halved lengthwise
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 1/2 Cup Thousand Island dressing
- 1 Cup halved cherry tomatoes
- 1/2 Cup fried onions
Cooking Instructions:
- Prepare outdoor grill for direct grilling over medium-high heat.
- Form beef into four patties; spray both sides of the patties and cut sides of romaine with cooking spray.
- Place patties and romaine, cut side down, on hot grill rack; cover and cook patties 10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°, and romaine 1 minute or until lightly charred.
- Transfer romaine to a cutting board; coarsely chop and cool. Makes about 12 cups.
- In a large bowl, toss romaine and dressing; serve topped with tomatoes, onions, and burgers.
