This Season's Hottest Grilling Tips From
Cleaning & Prepping Your Grill
If your grill has been stored for Winter, we suggest a warm weather refresh to ensure best performance. Here are 5 quick tips to ready your grill for the season ahead.
- Uncover and check all parts for damage or debris. If you are using a gas grill, check all hoses and connections to make sure mischievous animals or cold conditions did not cause damage.
- Clean out any old grime from your fire bowl and grease cup.
- Fire up the grill on high for 5-10 minutes. This should bake off most of the grime from the grates.
- Give the grates a good brushing and scraping to ensure a clean surface. Make sure your grill is well cleaned before each use.
- We recommend lightly oiling a cloth and then carefully rubbing it across hot grill grates with tongs before adding food.

- We recommend flipping steaks and burgers only once or twice to preserve the juices.
- Cooking to a medium temperature can help the beef retain its flavor and texture.
- Consider adding ingredients like caramelized onions, mushrooms, or roasted pepper to naturally enhance flavor and add low fat moisture.
